I had a random craving to play around in Photoshop today and I came up with a couple of little collages that I was happy with. The diagrams are from an old gardening book and show a compound umbel and corymb (which I had never heard of before). The background textures are a piece of wood and an old piece of fabric. I did the repeats with a custom brush - my favorite thing to do.

i love the green! i find photoshop work -completely- liberating after working with paper and ink for a long time. these are beautiful.

And thanks, Belinda! I love the unexpected results from changing the layer blending modes - these started to come together when I had a mostly white layer and changed its mode to "overlay". Totally different from what I started with.
